The Final Chapter of Salsa Connexion
Over the years, Salsa Connexion has grown into a vibrant and cherished dance community in Eindhoven. The school has introduced countless people to the joy of Latin dance and provided a space for connection and creativity. I (Sander) am immensely proud of what has been built and grateful for the students, dancers, teachers, and supporters who made it all possible.
After 10 unforgettable years, I have made the heartfelt decision to not continue the brand “Salsa Connexion Dance Company” as of the end of December 2024. This was a tough decision, but it became inevitable due to incompatible perspectives within the organization.
As many know, managing a professional environment can become challenging when personal relationships end and evolve. Despite extensive efforts to find workable solutions, sometimes the situation reaches a point where progress and growth are no longer possible. In these cases, the healthiest and most constructive decision is for each to follow their own path, allowing space for new opportunities and positive change for everyone involved.
Key Updates
This decision was communicated in August 2024, to those directly involved to ensure a smooth transition and adequate preparation for the changes ahead:
- Salsa Connexion will officially cease to exist after December 31, 2024.
- Sander will conclude his role as an instructor and organizer for Salsa Connexion as of December 31, 2024.
- All activities will continue as planned until December 31, 2024.
- Marilu has expressed her intention to launch a new dance initiative “Cadencia Dance Academy” and has been preparing her new venture behind the scenes since August 2024.

While saying goodbye to Salsa Connexion is bittersweet, I look forward to exploring new opportunities as an entrepreneur, dance teacher, and dance enthusiast. This closure is not the end of my love for dance or my passion for sharing it with others—only the closing of a chapter that means so much to me.
I truly feel that the decision to follow our different paths is the best way to grow and find our highest purpose with passion. I wish Marilu all the best with the new company, knowing that our students and community will have a place to feel welcome and share the passion of dance.

For now, my focus is on making these last weeks meaningful, ensuring a professional ending, and embracing everything that comes with it.
To all the students, colleagues, dancers, and friends who have been part of this incredible journey: thank you! Your enthusiasm, dedication, and love for dance have been the heartbeat of Salsa Connexion, and I will always carry these memories with me.
